*Note - This tutorial assumes you have working knowledge of KPT5.
I have never given instructions for KPT before and I am hoping that I don't make it sound too crazy LOL!

For this tutorial you will need:
PSP 7 ~ download a trial version.
KPT5 ~ this is a purchase only product.
Tutorial zip ~ download here.

The zip includes:
wwclock.kpt5 - place in the Paint Shop Pro 7\Plugins\KPT5\presets\ShapeShifter folder.
cool kitchen.jpg - place in the Paint Shop Pro 7\Plugins\KPT5\presets\EnvMaps folder.
bullet.sld - place in your Paint Shop Pro 7\Styled Lines folder.

 

Open a new image:
400 x 400 pixels
Transparent
16.7 Million colors

File > Save as > cclock.psp

Add a new layer and name original.

Set your foreground to white and your background to null.

Choose your draw tool and set at:
Single line
Width 10
Style Bullet
Antialias checked

Place your cursor at 200,40 and draw down (vertically) to 200,355 giving us a line 315 long.

Selections > Select all.

Selections > Float.

Selections > Modify > Feather > 1 > ok.

Effects > Plug-in filters > KPT5 > KPT5 Shapeshifter > these settings:
Cool Kitchen (Click on the colored ball in the Enviroment window, then find your Cool Kitchen.jpg, most likely in the EnvMaps folder.  Once found click open.)
wwclock, first preset (Click on the preset button in the bottom left corner, find my presets, click on the first one and then the checkmark).

Click the checkmark in the bottom right corner to apply.

Selections > Select none.

Right click on this layer and duplicate.

Image > Rotate > either directions, 90, all layers UNchecked.

Now you should have an + on your graphic.

Right click on the original layer and duplicate.

Image > Rotate > either directions, 30, all layers UNchecked.

Right click on this layer and duplicate.

Image > Mirror.

Right click on the original layer and duplicate.

Image > Rotate > either directions, 60, all layers UNchecked.

Right click on this layer and duplicate.

Image > Mirror.

Now you should have all of your spokes.

Turn off your empty layer 1 and right click on one of the spoke layers > Merge > Merge visible.

Rename this layer spokes.

Add a new layer and name it hub.

Choose your selection tool and set at:
Circle
Feather 0
Antialias checked

Place your cursor at 200,200 and draw out to get a circle 75 x 75.

Flood fill this selections with white.

Selections > Modify > Feather > 1 > ok.

Effects > Plug-in filters > KPT5 > KPT5 Shapeshifter > these settings:
Cool Kitchen (Click on the colored ball in the Enviroment window, then find your Cool Kitchen.jpg, most likely in the EnvMaps folder.  Once found click open.)
wwclock, second preset (Click on the preset button in the bottom left corner, find my presets, click on the second one and then the checkmark.)

Click the checkmark in the bottom right corner to apply.

Selections > Select none.

Add a new layer and name ball.

With your selections tool set the same draw out a circle about 23 x 23.

Flood fill this selections with white.

Selections > Modify > Feather > 1 > ok.

Effects > Plug-in filters > KPT5 > KPT5 Shapeshifter > these settings:
Cool Kitchen (Click on the colored ball in the Enviroment window, then find your Cool Kitchen.jpg, most likely in the EnvMaps folder.  Once found click open.)
wwclock, third preset (Click on the preset button in the bottom left corner, find my presets, click on the third one and then the checkmark.)

Click the checkmark in the bottom right corner to apply.

Selections > Select none.

Move the ball into position at the end of one of the spokes.

Click copy.

Right click in the top bar of your image and choose Paste as New Selection.

Place that ball at the end of another spoke.

Repeat this until all of the spokes have the ball at the end.

Selections > Select none.

Turn off all of your layers.
