For this tutorial you will need:

Super Blade Pro ~ download the demo version.
SBP Preset ~ download and unzip into your SBP enviroments & textures folder.

Open a new image:
500 x 200 pixels

Select your text tool.

Set the foreground to null and background to solid white.

Add your text using a bold font and set at create as vector.

These are the settings I used:
Futura XBlk BT
Size 72
Stroke 0
Anti-alias checked

Objects > Align > Center in canvas.

(I filled the background so that viewing is easier.)

Right click inside the bounding box and create raster selection.

In the layer palette right click on the vector layer and convert to raster layer.

Effects > Plugins > Flaming Pear > Super Blade Pro > ww-silveremboss2 preset.

Adjust > Hue & Saturation > Colorize > hue 0 and saturation 0.

Adjust > Color Balance > Manual Color Correction > set the source to #858585 and the target to the color you want your text, I am using #C00000.

Selections > Modify > Contact > 4 > ok.

Selections > Promote selection to layer.

Activate the original text layer.

Edit > Clear. (Or just hit the delete key on your key board.)

Selections > Invert.

Selections > Float.

Selections > Defloat.

Adjust > Add/Remove Noise > Add noise > 25% uniform, Monochrome checked > ok.

Adjust > Sharpness > Unsharp Mask > these settings (default):
Radius 2.00
Strength 100
Clipping 5

Selections > Select none.

Right click on the promoted layer and duplicate.

Adjust > Blur > Gaussian Blur > 0.75 > ok.

Turn off all layers except the two promoted layers.

Right click on either of the promoted layers and Merge > Merge visible.

In your layer palette set the opacity of your newly merged layer to 60-70.

Turn your outline layer back on, right click on either layer and Merge > Merge visible.

Now your text is ready to be saved in your choice of formats and for use.
