This is something new I am trying, not really a tutorial but more for fun and
practice. I will provide the alpha channels for the item and give some
general hints/tips on how I did certain things. I would like to hear from
y'all about what you think of this idea! If I get positive feedback I will
probably add more of these "tutorials".

You will need to download the PSP image which contains the alpha channels.

Now it is pretty much up to you and how you want to achieve your finished
Open the ww-lantern.psp in
PSP and all the alpha channels are ready to go.
I would put each piece on
a separate layer so that you can play with each and get it just to your liking.
I used a dark gray for the outline of the pieces and a medium/dark gray
gradient for the fills.
To get some shape I used a cutout on each piece and then smoothed out the
look by adding noise.
I added some texture to the two rectangular pieces at top and bottom.
The flame was drawn with a tear drop vector shape and filled with an orange
outline and an orange/yellow gradient.
I duplicated the flame and used EC4000, jiggle to give a bit of movement to

with the airbrush tool and then blurred.
